Turin, Italy, 1895: Lavazza is born. Milan, Italy, 2017: the first Lavazza Flagship Store is born. A company, pride in the world, that is not standing idle with hands tied and responds to the news of the future opening of Starbucks with a store of over 200 square metres flying the Italian flag. The Turin-based group has opened its doors in one of the most beautiful squares in Milan – Piazza San Fedele – and is doing so in great style: large windows, a circular counter in the centre surmounted by a chandelier made of luminous coffee beans. A design space that wants to be the first of a long series of planned openings in Paris, London, Berlin and Moscow, among other cities. The offer is divided into four large areas: classic cafeteria where you can drink an excellent coffee made to perfection; fresh roasted area to discover the secrets of the bean and roasting; Cofee Design where you can discover coffee in different forms thanks to the culinary creations of different chefs; and finally the area dedicated to the different ways of drinking coffee as cold brew, pour over, up to mocha. A place that explores the world of coffee from breakfast to aperitif at 360°. Let’s not forget that the food proposal is by chef Albert Adrià, brother of the more famous Ferrer, with whom he has been working for years. Coffee-based foams, caviar and other coffee-based devils – as well as a menu of more classic dishes – can be ordered in this beautiful place that enhances coffee in all its forms.
