The amygdala is the area of the brain that handles emotions. “Amygdala” is also the title of that album and masterpiece by DJ Koze, which has helped me through a lot, night or day, with tracks that feel like mephedrone, floor killers for afterparties, more reflective tracks and even a lullaby. But tonight, Stefan Kozalla will be playing us a few numbers from the album “Knock Knock”, out in May Given the collabs we know about, which include Bon Iver, Róisín Murphy, Mano Le Tough and American rapper Speech, it’s shaping up to be as good as “Amygdala”. If you find the number of Design Week events overwhelming, this is definitely one not to miss: you will be in the hands of one of the best DJs on the circuit, playing anything from German minimal to the happiest disco. Don’t forget that Koze, under alias Adolf Noise, curated the soundtrack for the film “Rem Koolhaas: A Kind of Architect”, so you’ve got every reason to go. And last but not least, this is the preview for Polifonic Festival in Valle d’Itria, which was one of our best memories from last summer.
