IDD was created by Mediamond in the area that stretches between Microsoft in Porta Volta and the Luiss Hub behind Corso Como, and from Google below the Vertical Forest to Samsung in the Diamond Tower. The goal was to adopt the role of mediator in a dialogue between citizens, companies and public administration, to give a physical space to the ‘change-makers’.
The theme is Common Future, or rather, how the innovation processes enacted today can impact future generations through open debate. Various partners have been confirmed including Edison, Volvo and Icon Design, who will bring a series of open talks from very important people in the design world to the Milanese stage, such as Konstantin Grcic, Ron Gilad, Giulio Cappellini, Marc Newson, Jasper Morrison and many more. The Mall in Piazza Lina Bo Bardi will host the Space&Interiors 2018 event, curated by the new president of the Triennale, Stefano Boeri, who has also designed a light installation in Piazza Gae Aulenti with Edison.
