The Reibu gang have decided to spoil us for Design Week. Reibu means “rave” in Japanese and they have two serious athletes lined up for their third birthday: Max Vaahs & Markus Sommer. The first time we had the pleasure of Max’s skills and funky minimal sound was at the Gazgolder Club in Moscow. The austere and handsome DJ from Frankfurt, now resident at Robert Johnson, ground those records as though they were coffee beans, with a flow that could have gone on another two days. He is joined tonight by pal Markus Sommer, co-founder of Pager Records with Phil Evans, who recently dyed his hair blonde so you can recognise him in the dark of Discosizer.
