Women today are no longer afraid to show their countless different faces, styles and dreams. This inspired Timberland to ask Elena Salmistraro to reinterpret the brand’s image for this FuoriSalone, to narrate the release of 3 new models for women this summer. The designer, renowned for her exquisitely elaborate totemic figures, has imagined a sinuous oak tree, a great tree mother, a force of nature that uses its energy to welcome, protect and illuminate visitors, using its sacred nature to reflect on the female world today, overcoming clichés and the superficial. The installation, named Dafne in memory of the Greek nymph, is part of Timberland’ global ‘DON’T CALL ME’ campaign and will be open for interaction rom all the visitors thronging the streets of the Brera Design District this year.
