Piazza Gae Aulenti benefits from a “hidden garden”, designed by the Pierattelli Architetture studio as a space to re-appropriate time and connect with nature. “Hidden Garden” is an enchanted garden, populated by trees, flowers and plants and encircled by high walls made from Krion: the innovative material with antibacterial and photocatalytic properties that help purify the air. Hidden Garden is a space of over 100 square metres, protected by a ring of panels that hide it from the main piazza. The external panels have been conceived as “blank canvases”, which can be decorated with drawings, murals and messages by anybody who wants to express themselves, to then be cleaned and ready for the next day. Inside, the panels are covered with mirrors that create an intriguing play of reflections and give the sensation of endless space, in which reality is confused with abstraction.
