Moving Backwards is the work created by Pauline Boudry and Renate Lorenz, active since 2007 and now based in Berlin; on the occasion of the 58th edition of the Venice Art Biennale, the Swiss pavilion will be transformed into an immersive environment accompanied by performative interventions, mindful of the night clubs atmosphere. The research of Boudry and Lorenz focuses on gender studies and decontraction of identity, references to underground culture and in particular the importance that the body covers within it. Through video installation they underline once more their attention to radical collective practices and the contemporary political situation, evoked in the form of a sensory experience. Curated by Charlotte Laubard.
