This place is worth going to eat in for a number of reasons. First of all its location, inside the Pasteur Municipal Market, in Viale Monza. Among the stalls of fruit, vegetables, bakers and a beautiful equine butcher’s shop, you’ll find a hole that goes by the name of Taverna dei Terroni. Almost a club of illuminati, a refuge for true connoisseurs of red and white placemats, of quatrains of loose wine, of dishes to share in the middle of the table. The second reason to pass at least for a lunch here is their bold service: a bit moody and swinging, but always true and authentic. Third but not last reason, their first courses. Come here with pure terronic spirit to scoff at orecchiette with pachino cheese, spaghetti or scialatelli with seafood, or whatever comes out of the kitchen. Low prices on first courses (9/10 €), a little more on second courses (14/18 €). Wine at will.
