Thursday Pizza: the name already puts me in a good mood, Thursday is the day I love the most because the week is coming to an end and I want to go out, but still there is not the delirium of the weekend. Besides, I hardly ever renounce a pizza, unless it’s the one you digest… the following Monday if lucky.
In this place specialized for take-away, but fortunately (I don’t like the take-away of hot dishes in general, and pizza in particular) equipped for eating on the spot – even if I don’t agree with the choice to use throwaway dishes and especially throwaway cutlery, even if recyclable -, pizza is very digestible: the dough is leavened 24 hours, they use only semi-integral organic flour, the ingredients are of quality and Italian origin; moreover they have a green heart: they plant a tree for each pizza ordered, they use renewable energy and only electrical equipment, from scooters to ovens. Once it was said that the best cooking was wood-burning, now opinions are contrasting: I have heard cooks say that the electric oven cooks more evenly, doctors argue that wood burning is toxic, and so on. I am not of the same opinion, but you have to say that here at Thursday’s pizza is very good. The menu has about ten pizzas: from the Assente with fior di latte, smoked scamorza cheese, caramelized onion, black olives and bacon to the Rustic with San Marzano, basil, stracciatella, black olives, oregano, thyme, capers; moreover there are always a couple of seasonal ones: the last time I had the one with fior di latte, champignon mushrooms and pepper.
Altogether, a pizzeria to go to even if it’s not Thursday.
