L’arte di sporcarsi le mani 

EGS è uno di quelli che ha sempre lo Squeezer nelle tasche, pronto a taggare qualsiasi superficie. Ha iniziato a fare graffiti a Helsinki negli anni ottanta, per poi finire a pittare in tutta Europa. Staccandosi dai muri come l’intonaco dopo tante verniciature, ha incluso nella sua produzione artistica sculture, dipinti e installazioni, finendo anche in musei e gallerie (chissà cosa ne pensano i graffitari rimasti attaccati alla strada). Il 18 aprile dalle 19:00 alle 20:30, presenterà la sua ultima produzione di sculture in vetro di Murano da SPECTRUM (quello in via De Amicis). Questa serie è il risultato di una collaborazione italo-finlandese tra SPECTRUM, Karhu ed Egs, che sarà in mostra durante gli orari di apertura del negozio dal 16 al 27 aprile. Le sculture sono il frutto di una residenza artistica a Murano, dove Egs ha creato tre opere in vetro.

Ci sarà anche un aperitivo in negozio e una performance live di tn_490 + stephane. 

The art of dirtying hands

EGS is one of those guys who always has the Squeezer in his pockets, ready to tag any surface. He started graffitiing in Helsinki in the 1980s and then ended up painting all over Europe. Peeling off walls like plaster after a lot of paint, he has included sculptures, paintings and installations in his artistic production, even ending up in museums and galleries (who knows what graffiti artists who have stuck to the street think of this).  On 18 April from 19:00 to 20:30, he will present his latest production of Murano glass sculptures at SPECTRUM (the one on via De Amicis). This series is the result of an Italian-Finnish collaboration between SPECTRUM, Karhu and Egs, which will be on display during the shop’s opening hours from 16 to 27 April. The sculptures are the result of an artistic residency in Murano, where Egs created three glass works.

There will also be an in-store aperitif and a live performance by tn_490 + stephane.
