“L’Absolu” transports the audience into a dizzying world full of magic and poetry – a play with light and darkness, music, fire, smoke, and breathtaking acrobatics. It explores the loneliness and fragility of human existence, brought to life through powerful imagery in an immersive spatial experience.
A 12-meter-high silo, a cylindrical space with two spiraling corridors rising along its inner walls: the audience is positioned along these corridors, observing the vortex of the stage from a unique vantage point. In “L’Absolu”, one is deeply immersed in a hypnotic world. The sand trickles away, the light fades, a body flies through the air, disappears into the dark, hovers, and balances. The deliberate irritation of the senses invites a rediscovery of one’s own perceptions and a loss of orientation. This entire, mesmerising installation– the circular centre, the framework, and the void of the silo – becomes the stage for the exceptional French artist and acrobat Boris Gibé.
“L’Absolu” transports the viewer into a dizzying dance full of magical and melancholic poetry, playing with light and darkness, music, fire, smoke, and virtuoso acrobatics. A sensual journey into the depths of humanity – with images of striking beauty, reflection, and fleeting lightness.
