Se vista e tatto soffrono di pigrizia, il posto ideale per noi in questo Fuorisalone è in zona Darsena. Stiamo parlando dell’enorme garage di 3000 metri quadrati progettato da Marco Zanuso in Viale Gorizia 14. Lì, troveremo la quarta edizione di Design Variations 2024 curata dai big del design milanese MoscaPartners. Ci verrà offerta la possibilità di conoscere il mondo “con la testa e il cuore” e con tutti gli altri sensi che possediamo. Leggeremo il titolo dell’esposizione “Toccare i materiali” e probabilmente ci chiederemo se effettivamente potremo tastare tutto ciò che sarà a portata di mano. Che siano gli oggetti in mostra, i supporti installativi, i settanta designer presenti, l’architettura, i liquidi, le arie, le persone che con noi attraverseranno il percorso. Noi proviamoci con tutto e vediamo che succede.  Potremmo partire già dall’ingresso, dove ci sarà un’opera site-specific di Nathalie Du Pasquier, composta da pannelli stampati su MEG, materiale resistente all’outdoor fornito da Abet Laminati. Il progetto dell’allestimento, firmato Park Associati, prevede l’utilizzo di mattoni di cemento di canapa forniti da Biomat per delineare gli spazi interni. Completano il palcoscenico l’illuminazione di Delta Light, la scenografia tessile di Kvadrat realizzata con materiale riciclato e l’architettura verde curata dai Fratelli Leonelli.

If sight and touch are feeling lazy, the perfect place for us at this Fuorisalone is in the Darsena area. We’re talking about the enormous 3000-square-meter garage designed by Marco Zanuso at Viale Gorizia 14. There, we will find the fourth edition of Design Variations 2024 curated by the big names of Milanese design, MoscaPartners. We’ll be offered the opportunity to explore the world “with our head and heart” and with all the other senses we have. We’ll read the title of the exhibition “Touching Materials” and probably wonder if we’ll actually be allowed to feel everything within reach. Whether it’s the objects on display, the installation supports, the seventy designers present, the architecture, the liquids, the airs, or the people who will accompany us along the way. Let’s try with everything and see what happens. We could start right from the entrance, where there will be a site-specific artwork by Nathalie Du Pasquier, composed of panels printed on MEG, an outdoor-resistant material provided by Abet Laminati. The installation project, signed by Park Associati, involves the use of hemp cement bricks provided by Biomat to delineate the internal spaces. Completing the stage are the lighting by Delta Light, the textile scenography by Kvadrat made with recycled material, and the green architecture curated by the Fratelli Leonelli.
