Il design veste Prada

Vi siete mai immaginati come sarebbe stato ricevere un invito, per poi (ovviamente) partecipare a un simposio di Platone? Ci saremmo trovati nella crema degli intellettuali del momento, a parlare di massimi sistemi mentre opulenti banchetti passano dalla tavola alle nostre bocche e litri di vino circolano nel nostro sangue. Ora, noi non possiamo assicurarvi sulla possibilità di trovare nutrimento per il corpo ma sicuramente per lo spirito abbiamo ampi margini. Dal 14 al 16 aprile, nell’aristocratica villa-museo Bagatti Valsecchi, ci sarà Prada Frames. Per la terza edizione, curata dal duo Formafantasma, un’orgia platonica di designer, architetti, curatori, scienziati, antropologi, attivisti ed esperti legali e economici, faranno della transdisciplinarietà un approccio condiviso. Non a caso, così come verranno superati i tradizionali confini delle discipline, saranno riconsiderati i confini dell’abitare e della casa come spazio. Non più di separazione ed isolamento ma di congiunzione con l’esterno.

Have you ever imagined what it would be like to receive an invitation, and then (of course) attend a symposium by Plato? We would have found ourselves amidst the cream of the intellectual elite of the time, discussing ultimate systems while opulent banquets pass from the table to our mouths and liters of wine circulate in our bloodstream. Now, we cannot guarantee you’ll find nourishment for the body, but certainly for the spirit we have ample margins. From April 14th to 16th, in the aristocratic villa-museum Bagatti Valsecchi, there will be Prada Frames. For the third edition, curated by the duo Formafantasma, an intellectual feast of designers, architects, curators, scientists, anthropologists, activists, legal and economic experts will make transdisciplinarity a shared approach. Not surprisingly, just as traditional disciplinary boundaries are surpassed, the boundaries of living. A space of no longer separation and isolation but of conjunction with the outside will be reconsidered.
