Is it provisional or permanent? Designed by one of the most handsome Milanese architects, Alessandro Scandurra, who won a contest for an ephemeral architecture – that goes in hand with the time of Expo – the Expo Gate actually has a base that can last eternally. From before its conclusion the architects community and the conformists committee who live in the area (you decide who piss you off the most) scuffle arguing on the destiny of this couple of white ziqqurat. Personally we like it much from an aesthetic point of view, although we don’t think beauty has to be forever at any cost. At the end even the empty is nice.
