Mobile phones are the main narrative subject of the Stregoni project and digital nomadism. It is impossible to get to Europe without a smartphone. Telephone top-ups are used instead of cash to pay for goods, smartphones offer precious tools such as GPS, they contain hundreds of photos and videos and, above all, a whole lot of music. The Stregoni journey begins from those sounds. A soundtrack that gathers together all the voices and music of those who struggle outside the borders of the Old Continent. Electro-tribalism, hip hop, psychedelia, afro and gospel blend in the music leaking out of the headphones of migrants turned away at the borders. Musicians from all origins will be on stage alongside Mox and Above the Tree.

Up next is Lemna, Japanese artist who started out as a Drum ‘n’ Bass MC in Tokyo clubs, often a leading member of the line-up for Human Element, renowned Makoto party, and soon enlisted by Samurai Music/Horo, Presha’s label and guarantee of the very best DnB and Techno contaminations. His first and currently only visit to Europe was last summer as a guest at Atonal Festival. Once again on tour, he will be performing the live show of his new album, just released on Horo.
Then it’s Serene Butler, a virtual illusion materialising in the features of a male body, who, through both sound and visual languages, “plays” with the idea of boundaries, highlighting their senselessness and affirming the need to overcome them. Whether the boundaries between bodies, between musical genres or between sexual genres, the goal is to destroy them and to unite.
