“Furniture Feast (artichoke party)” – never has a event during design week had such a great name. The ironic play on words is typical of this venue where, between a full belly (first course, second course, arrosticini, meatballs, etc.) and a bit of swing and rock’n’roll, the only thing that counts if you really want to make an impression is not how much design you’ve seen but smiling and having a good time. Then there’s the Twins’ Garage Market (the only one to have made it to the tenth edition): now they are both mums I’m expecting a nursery area or perhaps a swap stand with clothes and toys for children and the a few other MILFs, alongside the usual stalls selling vintage and other bits and pieces.
