The closing event of the Elita Design Week Festival was always going to be big. And, true to form, the DJ invited to celebrate the end of a week in which Milan feels like a European capital is none other than Ali Shaheed Muhammad, the DJ from A Tribe Called Quest (if this name means nothing to you, sign up for a hip-hop refresher course immediately). To pick a few names at random, people like Kanye West and Pharrell Williams have called this DJ a master. Before him, Rich Medina, afrobeat trailblazer and genuine representative of the black identity, and the Mokambo Brothers, as Italian as they come but lovers of that 70’s/80’s New York sound when new wave, funk and disco were all mixed together. In short, expect a night in which the real challenge will be tearing yourself away from the dancefloor.
