Now in its VIII year, the Brera Design District, known as BDD, is once more built around a theme: ‘Design is play, play is design’. This is in celebration of the great Bruno Munari (yes, here and at TDM), who made play, understood as the truly interactive method of knowledge, one of the cardinal points of his designs. The playful component of design becomes the key to interpreting the entire display curated by Paolo Casati and Cristian Confalonieri.

Almost 50 years after the launch of the UP5, the expandable foam armchair that recalls the curves of the female body (a real pop design must-have), Gaetano Pesce is once more investigating women. He exhibits a sculpture, oversize in true UP5 style, covered with female clothes from all over the world, both narrative and condemnation.
