Voila, the 5vie expand northwards, shifting the epicentre from the classic poser area of Santa Marta to Piazza Gorani. The final anomaly, perhaps, of this area which has always been more central than central Milan and curiously aligns ruins, empty spaces and scruffy carparks, has therefore now been sanitised by the Cecchi & Lima Architetti Associati project. Like it or not, it’s done now, and the incredibly high value per square metre on Via Ansperto can hardly suffer any worse than the preexisting squalor. It has been baptised Foyer Gorani for the Fuorisalone and will host Matteo Cibic’s Vasinasi and three exhibitions by Philippe Weber, Sabine Marcelis, Sigve Knuston.
