The Giulio Iacchetti studio opens its doors to anybody interested in how a piece of design comes to life, from paper to material. The exhibition showcases 10 completely different ways of tackling chair design: from the materials used to the construction and final use. A design excursus that focuses on the piece of furniture par excellence, the chair, examining technical and constructive details as well as purely aesthetic canons.
Two new chairs designed by Internoitaliano support this narrative with sketches and prototypes showing the process behind the studio’s designs. Mina, a minimal chair designed by Tommaso Caldera develops the theme of light (and superlight) seating, delicately worked to achieve a result endowed with great sensitivity and therefore destined to withstand the test of time.
Meta, on the other hand, is a family of stacking aluminium chairs designed by Giulio Iacchetti and created for the Memorabilia restaurant in Agrate Brianza, with the help of the technical skills of Emanuele Lispi, a young and energetic artisan from Perugia. He collaborated on a collection of versatile objects that fully represent the positive values that Internoitaliano has embodied for years.
