It is Silvana Annicchiarico’s turn at this ninth edition of the Design Museum. The director will finally curate her own museum and, quite rightly, she has decided to handle the question of genre, which is an increasingly hot topic in all fields and especially design and architecture. In the meantime, the set-up is by the great Margherita Palli and that’s a good start. The history of female design has both its greats and its novices of course, but we are really examining the different qualities of female design and the big challenges that the new concept of genre will mean for design.
