Elektro Guzzi are from Vienna and they blend live drum and guitar with the sounds of synths and laptops to make a techno feel. Wolfram is a young thug from St. Veit an der Glan, also in Austria, who is pretty obsessed with italo disco but also dug good old Haddaway (yes, as in “What is Love?”) out of the woodwork to sing on mega contemporary house track “A Thing Called Love”. Favourite Felix Da Housecat will also be playing at the party; he’s not from Austria but Chicago, where house was born. “Back Ahead – New Austrian Design Perspectives” is the name of the exhibition linked to this party: a look to the past but two eyes firmly on the future. They’ve got the line-up down to a T I’d say.
