After – or before – the harassing evenings at Circolino in Turro it is almost a must to stay alive to stop by this popular and domestic trattoria. Angela and Mario are the matadores of the occasion: they have been running this restaurant for decades with more than democratic prices and for the most demanding appetites. In the dining room you will find her, Angela, juno and disruptive, who takes orders, brings the dishes, tells you how they moved from Puglia to Milan. In the kitchen Mario, who has on his shoulders tons of orecchiette and roasts prepared. The menu is as long as Vallanzasca’s criminal record. You’ll find everything: the Milanese classics, the Apulian and more exquisitely terronic ones, the old school first courses (see penne panna and speck), the roast meat and fish, the rib eye, the saltinbocca. All mediocre and in any case pleasant to return to the origins. And to swallow masses of food for a messy evening.
