A tavern to be like this has to have some essential identifying characters. Historicity, in the sense of age; functioning well at lunch, in the sense of feeding the working class; having reasonable prices. These elements are all here at the Osteria dell’Acquabella, since 1950 in the Porta Romana area. Its owner, Mr. Artuso, decided to take over this place and equip it as a refreshment point for workers and employees of the many factories and offices in the area, without disdaining the activity of the tavern with card games. Today, after various passages from generation to generation, it still maintains the proletarian spirit. At lunch and dinner the classics of the milanese tradition and Italian cuisine: risotto with ossobuco, rib, meatloaf, mondeghili.
